The
Sustainability Institute was formed in May, 2010, to promote environmental awareness
in the transfer curriculum, in job training programs, and in our daily practice
at all nine district colleges. A Sustainability Committee has met monthly since
2007, and over 90 faculty, administrators, and staff are now on our mailing list.
Funds have been obtained from federal grants to support this institute, which
will assist our campuses in developing and coordinating their respective sustainability
